The project

A digital infrastructure of trust for the automotive industry

LOOKON® was born out of observing a structural weakness in the automotive aftersales sector.

01 How it began

Not a management tool for workshops. An infrastructure.

What happens today

Every day thousands of workshops, body shops, auto electricians, tyre specialists, inspection centres and specialist operators carry out technical work of great value. Yet the documentation of that work often remains fragmented across invoices, receipts, photographs, informal messages, different management software and paper documents.

When the vehicle changes workshop, owner, rental company or operator, an important part of its technical history risks being lost.

Every vehicle has a persistent digital memory

This is how LOOKON® began

Out of this awareness came LOOKON® Car Repair – Digital Vehicle Passport: a platform designed to turn technical work into a structured, progressive digital memory that can be consulted over time.

But it is not a management tool

The project was not conceived as a simple management tool for workshops. LOOKON® was created with the aim of becoming a digital infrastructure of trust for the entire automotive ecosystem, able to connect the vehicle, the work carried out, the authorised operators and the related documentary evidence.

The LOOKON® software has already been developed in its main architecture and is currently at a pre-commercial stage. In the first months of 2027 it will undergo operational testing at partner workshops. The commercial launch is scheduled during 2027.

02 My story

To me, innovating means giving concrete form to trust

Where it comes from

LOOKON® comes from a personal vision rooted in a genuine passion for the world of cars.

Ever since childhood I have been drawn to workshops, to engineering and to everything that actually happens around the life of a vehicle. Over time, that curiosity turned into a broader and more conscious vision.

What I observed

I saw an industry rich in skill, expertise, responsibility and real work, yet often without tools able to record, protect and properly enhance what is done to a car.

Every day, serious professionals carry out checks, diagnostics, servicing, repairs and component replacements. And yet, all too often, this technical heritage remains scattered, fragmented or hard to prove over time.

What I imagined

Out of this awareness came the idea of LOOKON®. I imagined a platform able to turn a car's technical history into an orderly, verifiable digital asset that anyone authorised can consult. A memory tied not only to a single workshop or a single invoice, but directly to the vehicle and to the continuity of its technical life.

LOOKON® Car Repair – Digital Vehicle Passport is my idea of a more modern, transparent and authoritative automotive world, in which every job can be documented and preserved as part of a progressive technical history.

What it means to me

It means protecting the customer, enhancing the work of honest professionals and building a new language between motorists, workshops, body shops, dealerships, fleets, rental companies, insurers and used-car operators.

What is done to a vehicle must be able to remain visible, documentable and preserved over time.

03 The two tracks

European software + pilot digital hub = the LOOKON® ecosystem

First track

The European software

Intended for commercial release in Italy and progressively in other European countries. Aimed at mechanical workshops, body shops, dealerships with an in-house workshop, repair networks, multi-site operators, fleets, leasing and rental companies, insurers, warranty providers and remarketing operators. Mainly a SaaS model, with subscriptions and modular features.

Second track

The Malpensa pilot digital workshop

Applying the model in practice, testing the workflows, producing real use cases, demonstrating how the platform works, generating commercial traction, training operators, welcoming partners and investors, selecting workshops interested in affiliation and creating a replicable operating model.

The pilot workshop is not a project separate from the software. It is the place where LOOKON® technology is applied, validated and turned into an observable, replicable industrial model.

The Malpensa digital workshop is a project under development: opening is scheduled for 2027 and the facility is not yet operational.

04 The area

From vehicle flow to verifiable data

The Malpensa area does not only generate passenger traffic: it concentrates rentals, airport transfers, taxis, chauffeur services, companies, logistics, light fleets, business tourism and private demand.

  • Concentrated demand — residents, companies, rent-a-car and professional mobility all converge in the area
  • Documentary evidence — photos, videos, checklists and audit trails reduce opacity and disputes
  • 24/7 as an advantage — operational continuity for returns, emergencies, fleets and airport services

05 2027 roadmap

Where we are and where we are going

  1. Current stage

Software and main architecture already developed

The platform is built in its main framework and is at a pre-commercial stage.

  2. Early 2027

Start of testing at partner workshops

Checking real workflows in the field, with professional operators.

  3. Pilot stage

    Validation, feedback and first KPIs

Collecting feedback and measuring the first operational indicators.

  4. Commercial launch

    First SaaS packages

Commercial release for workshops and professional operators.

  5. Malpensa hub

    Pilot digital workshop

Development of the hub and demonstration of the LOOKON® operating model.

  6. Growth

    Partners, networks and affiliations

Selection of operators interested in joining or affiliating.

  7. Expansion

    Europe

Language localisation, multi-country development and progressive rollout of the platform.

06 The method

Method first, then the product, then the network

Every stage must produce operational evidence and KPIs that can be used with partners and investors.

  • 01

    Specifications

Data model, user experience, policies and roles.

  • 02

    MVP

QR Code, history, documents and deadlines.

  • 03

    Pilot

Operating hub, KPIs and operator training.

  • 04

    Scale

    Partners, APIs, network and standards.
